about
Fine Animal & Sarob. are back with Imitator, their second
installment in a series of collaborations.
Imitator finds the trio exploring poignant issues through agile
synth patterns and haunting vocals, all the while creating a
beautifully disorienting atmosphere.
“The most important thing to remember during these times,” says
Sarob. in regards to Imitator’s message , “Is that we continuously
have to speak up.”
The track is a perfectly executed fusion of each member’s individual
talents, marking the continuation of an already fruitful
relationship.
(Don't wait it's all condoned)
It's over now, there's no control
The weight it sinks into my bones
The weigh it sinks into my bones
gritting my teeth like its coated in sugar or salt
ain't nothin sweet when your niggas get "murder-assault"
ain't nothing free when ya mama get the burden of birthing a brood of vermins
and keep they bodies from burning
what would you do if your breath is not approved
we got video but politicians ain't got a clue
shaky sketches they etching is just the fuel for the petulant
Shit I'm black in America—I ain't scared of no terrorist
Police packin like severance
fire off if you trippin
grandma say we in better place but who paid for the shipping?
paint a picture worth a pretty pension
held my papa in detention
close to done with conversation
freedom ain't a proposition
fire in my belly, fire in the streets
sweet apple pie left out a piece
imagine prayin for peace
Don't worry, don't go
Don't worry it's still controlled
Fire in my belly fire in the streets...
Sweet Apple left out a piece.
Closed the door on conversation
Freedom ain't a proposition
It's over now there's no control...
The weight it sinks into my bones

Words can't express how much we fell in love with GEM's Medusa EP. Stunning electronic compositions blend seamlessly with organic instrumentation and ethereal vocals. Please listen! Fine Animal
Pretty, Lush-inspired dream pop has a gentle touch, with whispered spoken-sung French vocals drifting lightly over shimmering guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 24, 2019
